A message to all attendees

From the Staff of Genderverse FurCon 2025

Dear friends and family of the Genderverse,

We have an important announcement to make about a decision that wasn’t easy to make.

Unfortunately, there will not be another Genderverse FurCon. Additionally, we will no longer be hosting gender-diverse social-style panels at other furry conventions. After giving it a lot of thought, we came to the difficult conclusion that we simply do not have the funds or resources to continue this project, and it is no longer practical given the staff’s life circumstances.

We still plan to keep the Telegram and Discord groups around as social groups, so feel free to join us there!

It’s been a long road since we first started as “Genderverse Furries” back around 2016. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us over the years, and we are so happy that we got to provide affirming spaces and happy memories to many of you. There have been ups and downs, but in the end, we achieved our dream – we finally hosted a full-day convention celebrating gender-diverse furries. We feel extremely fortunate, even if we’re also sad that it has to come to an end.

The magic of the furry fandom is that furries create the fandom ourselves. We hope to continue to see the fandom continue to thrive and grow for many more years to come.
